Heather Amer graduated from Evangel University in 2007 with a degree in business Administration. She now owns her own photography business called Heather Cherie Photography, and has been doing that for three years now. Photography started out as something she enjoyed, but it is now her full-time career.

Heather said that she got started in photography just because she has always been creative. She loves making jewelry and crafts, and photography is another way for her to express her creativity.

When I asked Heather what she likes to photograph most, she replied, "I love photographing people... couples, seniors, newborns... all of it!  I love the variety of capturing people in different seasons of their lives." Heather is the only employee in her business, but every once in a while she teams up with other photographers for weddings or other sessions.

The hardest part about Heather's job is keeping "normal" work hours. She said, "Since I could be taking photos days, nights, or weekends, I have to be very intentional about taking some time off and not allowing photography to consume all of my time or relationships." On the other side, she said the greatest part about her job is meeting new people and developing relationships with her clients. Heather Cherie Photography currently has 130 documented photoshoots with many more to come!

In Heather's words, "I feel so very blessed to be able to do something that I love.  I feel like God has orchestrated every detail to bring me to this place in my life."
