Filming to Commence on Student Film

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. The students in this spring’s film workshop at Evangel Universtiy will begin shooting their feature film, “Double Shot,” on Saturday, February 13, 2010.

“Double Shot,” EU films’ eighth production, will be the workshop’s first murder mystery.

The film is being produced by Junior Stephen Krueger and directed by Junior Jeff Pierce, with Dr. Cameron Pace as executive producer.

Cast auditions were held at the end of January and were open to both Evangel students and the public. The final main cast list has been completed as is comprised of the following:

Richie Lee Samuel Queen (protagonist)
Anesa Beilfuss Jessica Jackman (love interest)
Jordan Thomas Kyle Roberson (antagonist)
Angela Stevens Ashley Freud (supporting role)
Andrew Ormsby Charlie (friend of Samuel)

Pierce says, “This movie will push the limits of anything you’ve ever seen from an Evangel film.”

“Double Shot” will premiere on April 30, 2010 along with several short student films as well. Times, ticket prices, and location to be announced.
